On February 1, 2025, Shomvob Jobs hosted a sensitization event at the Six Seasons Hotel in Dhaka. The event brought together HR personnel from over 35 prominent companies from 5+ industries including manufacturing, logistics, retail, etc. Notable attendees included representatives from Coca-Cola, Shwapno, Brac-Aarong, Ispahani, Himalaya, Chaldal, Chillox and Hishabee. The purpose of the event was to discuss the future of workplace diversity, with a strong focus on female inclusion in the workforce. The event commenced with an inspiring speech from Mr. Hasibur Rahman, the COO of Shomvob Jobs. He shared the vision and journey behind Shomvob’s inception, highlighting how the idea of creating a recruitment platform was born out of the need to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers in Bangladesh. Shomvob and Swisscontact ASTHA host Sensitization Event for Community Paramedics in Cox’s Bazar

As part of a dedicated effort to strengthen Bangladesh’s healthcare frontline, Shomvob Technologies Ltd, in collaboration with Swisscontact Bangladesh’s ASTHA project, they hosted a sensitisation event at Prasaad Paradise Hotel in Cox’s Bazar. The event brought together 27 employers, including NGOs, hospitals, and various health-related organisations, all united by a shared commitment to supporting Community Paramedics. The event represented a significant step in building connections between organisations employing Community Paramedics and the Paramedics themselves. With a particular focus on community paramedics, the gathering allowed employers and health-related stakeholders to learn about the Shomvob and Swiss contact ASTHA collaboration’s recent initiatives to enhance paramedic job opportunities. The partnership seeks to improve Paramedics’ employability and skill set, ultimately contributing to the resilience of Bangladesh’s healthcare system. The event featured inspiring stories from two successful Community Paramedics, Rohama Begam and Mehedi Hasan Munna, currently employed with Research, Training and Management (RTM) International, Cox’s Bazar. They shared their journeys, reflecting on the challenges they overcame, and the valuable skills gained through their Community Paramedic courses, which helped them secure fulfilling roles within the healthcare sector. Dr Md Ismail Haque, a medical officer with RTM International in Cox’s Bazar, working on a UNICEF project, spoke positively about his experiences with community paramedics, commending their professionalism and skill level. He noted that this type of initiative is groundbreaking and has the potential to create a lasting impact on healthcare delivery in Bangladesh. Md Solim Ullah Sujon, chairman of Paalong Medical Institute, also contributed valuable feedback. He expressed appreciation for Shomvob and Swisscontact’s efforts in refining the Community Paramedics’ curriculum and praised Shomvob’s job placement solutions, which are helping Paramedics find meaningful employment. Later, an open discussion session followed, allowing employers to share insights and recommendations, further strengthening the platform for continuous improvement in paramedic training, skills, and job readiness.
